Stand up for something you believe in.
Speak up when it’s relevant. If someone is overstepping their boundaries, let them know. Bring your opinion to the table, your voice matters, you matter. Let no one make you feel otherwise. Never be silent on things that matter. You have a great deal to offer the world, make it heard or read as the case maybe. The most important thing to remember in communication is to be precise and not to respond just for the heck of saying something. Instead build on the ability to listen, understand and then offer something valuable. Grace should be the undertone when it comes to dealing with people. Another vital factor is the tone of voice, make sure it’s not offending or too overwhelming and always leave a line of communication open but not in cases where people cross their limits on purpose. To get your point across is an art. Make sure you are open to learning. Remember, communication is a skill that offers a new insight each time you make an attempt to learn and refine it.
Battle your inner demons and stop limiting yourself when it comes to standing up for something that truly matters. Be courageous and offer significance on issues that need you to throw a light on them.
Be the voice of the voiceless.
Having a voice is not only a privilege but a responsibility too. Make sure you understand the power your voice holds. You have the opportunity and the obligation to make sure it serves humanity. It serves something bigger than you.
Imagine what we take for granted is truly one of the biggest blessings and responsibility. It holds the potential to change lives. When it comes to communication, we assume we know it all, without realising there is a great deal to learn and grow.
The Interaction Matrix!
Understand that communication builds or breaks, forms a link or destroys it. Your relationships can bloom if you honour the skill of communication. Interaction is a two-way process and thus you can’t take people for granted and expect to receive a blessed relationship whether personal or professional. Every individual no matter what position they hold deserves respect and kindness.
Honour the gift of voice. Verbal and written communication needs different ways of expressions, style of sharing ideas and presenting them, yet the core values remain the same.
